Sew & Tell Friday

For one day this week I had to take a break from all of the red, black and green that I've been working with! I made myself one more shopping bag using the pattern found here:

Morsbags

It's a quick pattern and you can use just about anything - an old sheet, pillowcase, or in my case - fabric scraps!

The bottom of the bag is double layered just to add a bit more strength. I love that the pattern has you use french seams. It makes the inside nice and tidy - and of course stronger too!

Then, just on a whim, I used the leftover scraps, along with some netting to make a produce bag. It does the job, but it's not a perfect pattern yet. I'm still tweaking it.

So, what have you finished this week? Visit Amylouwho and join in!

  2. Great idea for the produce bag. Love the 'bling' at the top. Ooooo French seams. I remember them from high school. Not sure I am capable of doing them now.
