So this is how I spent my Saturday afternoon – and it was delightful!
The afternoon was unseasonably warm so I pulled up the blinds and opened the window. The sun was streaming in and I had a few hours of uninterrupted quilting time!
The border for this heart quilt caused me a bit of grief. I had a hard time deciding just what I wanted to do, and then I had to find just the right fabric for the job. Then came deciding just how to quilt it.
I finished the quilting Saturday and tackled the binding this afternoon. Tonight the quilt had it’s debut at our little quilt group’s show and tell. I’ll have some photos of the finished quilt on Friday.
Happy Sewing everyone!
I'm linking up to WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced
It looks beautiful. Can't wait to see it in full. I made a quilt similar to this a few years back.
ReplyDeleteWell done on having it finished 361 days early! I look forward to seeing it finished as well.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very blissful day of quilting:):) Pretty threads and pretty quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very pretty. I'll wait patiently to see it.....
ReplyDeleteI like it! I like the 361 days early part too--I'm working on something that was supposed to be done for Christmas--maybe I'll say it's 10 months early?
ReplyDeleteDon't you LOVE red snappers? They are amazing.
Hahaha I often do that for Christmas quilts! Get them finished just after Christmas when I get some time off.
