Happy Sunday! It's the second Sunday of the month which means it's time for another installment of Second Look Sunday - where I share a quilt or tutorial that I've done sometime in the past ten years here on A Bright Corner. I know a lot of you are new around here and this gives me a chance to share some of my old favorites!
This month I'm revisiting a free pattern I wrote back in 2012 called Charming Lucy. You can see the original one here. This new version is made with a charm pack of Lulu Lane (designed by Corey Yoder for Moda Fabrics).
The pattern needs just a single charm pack and one yard of background fabric. Sometimes I just fall in love with a fabric line and I just have to make something with it! That's how Lulu lane was for me.
This little quilt finishes at 35" x 35" and makes a sweet baby gift -but I have a friend who made a Christmas version and used it as a table topper!
You can find the free pattern here. For personal use only please - thank you!
If you make a Charming Lucy quilt I'd love to see it! Tag me on Instagram (@abrightcorner) and use #charminglucy and #abrightcorner. Or tag me on Facebook too!
Happy sewing!

ReplyDeleteI cant get the patter to open -is it because Im in UK?
ReplyDeleteyou are so very sweet to share this pattern. It’s adorable, and looks quick and easy. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI just love this pattern, I have two quilts to make for twins. I am going to make one for each, One with the "O's" and one switching up so they are "X's" hugs and kisses! Thank you so much!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat is the reference to "x" and "o" quilt?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to do this.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite baby quilt pattern-I've made five of them and am about to do another one with a Liberty Tana Lawn charm pack. I love the new variation!
ReplyDeleteI just love this pattern thanks for shareing
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. I liked the patterned a lot, but I am not making baby quilts right now. It has inspired me to create a twin or full size quilt with a larger square. It is easier than creating one from half squares.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Your pattern and construction has inspired me. I plan to design a larger quilt with larger squares.
