I'm working on a new quilt pattern and I get to share a bit about it today along with a peek at some new fabrics.
The pattern is called Windy City and it will be available in my shop in a couple of weeks. It's currently being tested and edited and I'm also working on two other versions in different sizes to share with you soon! Edited to add: Windy City is available now here in my shop!
It's a fun quilt to piece, and these star blocks are a great way to play with color and contrast.
This is the throw size of the quilt and it measures 55" x 65"
The fabrics I used for this version of Windy City are from a new line called Gem Stones Brights designed by Planted Seeds Designs (Riley Blake). Gerri previously released a line of Gem Stones prints with deeper, rich colors but these new additions are so bright and vivid - I wish you could see them in person!
All of the Gem Stones prints are fun to work with because they have a gradient to them that runs from one selvage to another as you can see in the photos below.
Having that gradient on each 2.5" strip really makes for a unique look to each block!
You can find Gem Stones Brights now in stores, and the Windy City quilt pattern here in my shop.
Windy City is available as either a PDF (instant download) or a paper pattern
